About Us
This practice is in existence today because science has validated the services of the licensed dietitian/nutritionist in helping people to reduce cholesterol, control blood pressure, reduce weight, eat nutritious foods more often, and to become less sedentary. These measures help improve and sometimes prevent diabetes, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, gallbladder disease, and a myriad of other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
We have concerns about the prevalence of eating disorders, of bulemia nervosia and anorexia nervosia. Latest findings address polycystic ovarian syndrome as having connections with these conditions. Diet therapy recommendations are a balancing of fatty acids with emphasis on whole grains while omitting simple sugars. A skilled counselor with nutrition knowledge can help today's busy woman grasp this information and put it into play.

We look forward to more research supporting the role of the Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist's contribution with allied medical providers in moving our society toward the healthiest with less of our economy's wealth and well-being drained by preventable illness as our population ages.

Yours in Healthy Eating,
Karen E. Gantt, MEd, RD, LDN
